Interview

In the oral entrance examination, applicants are assessed on the basis of the following criteria and weightings:

1. Subject-specific basic knowledge in the field of materials science and materials processing (in particular materials structure, mechanical, optical, electronic and magnetic properties of materials as well as characterization methods) (50 percent) and
2. good knowledge in the area of a subject specialization corresponding to the core subjects to be chosen for the master’s degree program; the applicant chooses the core subjects relevant for the interview (50 percent).

The choice of core subjects in the master’s program is independent of the choice in the entrance examination according to No. 2.
