German course A2.2 for Materials Science and Nanotechnology students
In winter term 2025, the department offers a voluntary German course A2.2.
It is a 4 SWS ungraded course for students who already started learning German on A level (ca. 150 hours of German classes). You can get a certificate at the end of the course, if you attend at least 85% of the classes (~ you may miss 4 sessions) and do the assigned homework. Other than that, the main goal of the course is to boost up your German skills as best as any possible.
In order to be admitted to the course, you need a certificate of your A2.1 German level.
If you completed German A1 and / or A2.1 via self study or if you are not sure which level you are currently in, please take this placement test. It is based on the text book that was used during the A2.1 classes and covers the content you should know by now. Also, it should help you determine if A2.2 is the appropriate course for you based on your current German skills. Therefore, please try and take it without any means of assistance.
Please send your certificate and / or your results to the course instructor via email.
The StudOn course is already open for sign up.
If the outcome of the test suggests that you should rather take a lower or higher level course, check for opportunities at the FAU language center.
The times of the course are yet to be determined.
