German course A2.1 for Materials Science and Nanotechnology students
In summer term 2025, the department offers a voluntary German course A2.1.
It is a 4 SWS ungraded course for students who already started learning German on A level (ca. 80-100 hours of German classes). You can get a certificate at the end of the course, if you attend at least 85% of the classes (~ you may miss 4 sessions) and do the assigned homework. Other than that, the main goal of the course is to boost up your German skills as best as any possible.
The StudOn course is also already open for sign up.
If you completed German A1 via self study or if you are not sure which level you are currently in, please take this placement test. It is based on the text book that was used during the A1 classes and covers the content you should know by now. Also, it should help you determine if A2.1 is the appropriate course for you based on your current German skills. Therefore, please try and take it without any means of assistance.
Please send your results to me via email as well.
If the outcome of the test suggests that you should rather take A1.2, but you still want to take and prep for my course, please feel free and come to the SSC and borrow a copy of the A1 course book to do some self-study before the start of the semester.
The times of the course are yet to be determined, but will most likely be on Monday and Wednesday mornings.
